POSTPARTUM DOULA

A postpartum doula provides help to the new mom and partner during their transition into parenthood. The duties are similar to the antepartum doula and includes helping with infant feeding and care, household organization, meal preparation, care of older sibling(s), running errands, and providing companionship.

July 12-15, 2023 - RICHMOND, VA  (8:30am - 2:30pm EST)
October 24-27, 2023 - RICHMOND, VA  (8:30am - 2:30pm EST)
DONA INTERNATIONAL POSTPARTUM DOULA CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

This training consists of:
27 hours of doula classroom training,
3 hours of breastfeeding education,
1 hour
 business webinar,
11 books from reading list
1 written essay

1 resource list

You will also provide postpartum support to 3 families and
get 6 evaluations completed
(2 evaluations
are required for each family)
1 from the mother
1 from the partner


This doula training is approved by DONA International and after completing the requirements, all certification paperwork will be sent to DONA. 

Your certification will be awarded by DONA International.
